The pendant from Viking Age Iceland shows the mouth of a wolf's head, which forms the eyelet on the longest arm of the cross. This shape is often seen as a combination of cross and Thor's hammer, as a special Icelandic shape from the time of the conversion. The cast cross is from ca. 900-1000 AD. Similar crosses have also been found in Norway. The Icelandic cross is part of the collection of the National Museum of Iceland.
